In September 2026 I was again Visiting Professor at the Institute of Condensed Matter and Nanosciences (IMCN) of UCLouvain, working on 3D interconnected nanowire networks of pure Te and Sb-Te compounds, for applications in thermoelectrics, and co-supervising a Ph.D. student of the joint doctoral program between the University of Bucharest and UCLouvain.
Posters I contributed to received the best poster award at three conferences this year: ICLPR-ST 2026 (Poiana Brașov, Romania, June – July), the 23rd Colloquium Louis Néel (CLN 2026, Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium, September) and EmergeMAT 2026 (Bucharest, Romania, September). Two of them presented our work on Bi0.89Sb0.11 crossed nanowires for thermoelectrics. All the awards are on the Projects & Awards page.
